Nestled in the gently rolling hills west of Houston and conveniently located between Austin and San Antonio stands The Carriage Step. A cozy, luxurious Vacation Rental and Facility Rental; this 1890's home is full of antique charm and plush settings. The Carriage Step is the ideal location for your weekend getaway; a short drive from some of the best amenities in Central Texas, including Round Top and Warrenton Antiques Fair, junking and antiquing, shopping, wineries, spas, and delicious restaurants!
This beautifully restored home is also a perfect venue for showers, parties, intimate weddings, and reunions. We can accommodate up to 50 people inside the main house and garden area. We offer party planning services, catering, and decoration in addition to the facility rental. Our gorgeous backyard, dining spaces, back porch, and sun porch are the wonderful combination for entertaining guests of all ages.

Facility Rental
Rent The Carriage Step for $250, which includes the use of entire house and backyard for up to 3 hours. Perfect for parties, reunions, showers, business retreats and more!
March Hare Tea Room
Rentals for private parties for bridal, birthday, anniversary, or baby celebrations are welcome. Contact us to schedule your private tea party.

Event Catering
Planning a party or other special event and don't feel like cooking? We can help! The Carriage Step offers a wide variety of delicious delicacies including soups and salads, main courses, and desserts. Our inspiring menus are guaranteed to tempt your palette while keeping within your budget.
Children's Tea Parties
Spoil your prince or princess and host a private tea party for a special occasion. Rental includes 2-hour use of the property, sandwiches, snacks, dessert, and lemonade served on vintage china, a special crown or tiara for the guest of honor, and party games for all to enjoy. Party fee is $450 and a minimum of 10 guests is required.
